As previously mentioned Polvo is the Portuguese word for Octopus and Santa Luzia is the Capital of the Polvo. It´s myriad fishing boats, loaded with the Octopus Nets are testimony to the fine skills of the local fishermen.
Superbly furnished, well equipped, contemporary style apartment located on ground floor of three within the picturesque fishing village of Santa Luzia, famous as the capital of the “polvo” (octopus). The apartment is child-friendly and suitable for the infirm and has direct access to the Santa Luzia front. The sandy beaches of Barril and Terra Estreita on Ilha de Tavira are accessible by ferry straight across the road from the apartment or in the case of Barril by foot and mini-train, a short walk from the apartment.
Bedrooms
Two double bedrooms, both with single beds that can push together to form a double bed as required. Both bedrooms benefits from a fitted wardrobe and both have the benefit of an excellent new air-conditioning unit that can also provide added warmth if needed in the cooler months of the year. A travel cot can be hired if needed. The front bedroom has access to a balcony where you can sit out enjoy the sun and marvel at the magnificent view. Alternatively, you can just lie in bed with the shutters up and enjoy the same views.
Bathroom
The bathroom consists of a bath together with attached shower unit, toilet, wash basin and bidet. There is a hairdryer provided for guest use.
Kitchen
The apartment has a spacious, well stocked and equipped kitchen with hob and oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher & microwave. Pots, pans, coffee making equipment, crockery and cutlery, all provided. Open plan eating area with a static bar table and bar chairs.f
Living Area
The apartment has a spacious lounge/diner area fully equipped with satellite TV (Portuguese Multi Lingual channels) & DVD Player. A Sofa & and two tub chairs armchairs are provided for indoor relaxation with 2 extra stools for additional seating. The sofa bed can also provide additional sleeping space for two person.
Cleaning/Towels/Linen
Bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included. Please note that beach towels and lounge covers are not provided although beach towels can be provided (on request) to rent at a nominal charge. Bedroom linen is changed weekly. The apartment is cleaned thoroughly before and after your stay.
